Zebra 800033-344 YMCKOO Color Ribbon – 230 prints – is a unique ribbon for the Zebra ZXP3 line of printers that offers additional security features over standard YMCKO ribbons. Compared to a standard color ribbon (YMCK), the DuraSecure ribbon includes the standard full color (YMC) and resin (K) panels, as well as two additional overlay (O) panels. The first overlay panel is used to add a thin coating across the entirety of the card. This adds an extra level of durability to the card, increasing its life span by up to 50%. The second overlay (O) panel can be used across the entire card for yet an additional layer of durability and protection, or it can be printed using in a pattern or image on the card that can be used for visual security. When a pattern or image is printed using the the second overlay panel, it will create a faint but visible watermark on the image. Additionally, the second overlay panel also fluoresces under UV light and can be used to create a covert mark on the card.

Zebra 800033-344 YMCKOO DuraSecure ribbons are used for printing a combination of full-color images and one-color text or barcodes, as well as provide a visual security component for your cards.

The DuraSecure ribbons consist of yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) panels for printing a full spectrum of colors by combining the colors using varying degrees of heat. The K panel is a black resin panel, typically used for printing text and barcodes. The first O panel is a thin, clear protective overlay. The second O panel can be used as an additional security feature to print either an overt images such as a watermark or a covert image such as a fluoresce image that glows under UV light.
